A Wyoming Elopement in May

Happy - Fun - Day

Connor and Joe planned an intimate late Spring elopement with their nearest and dearest at the historic Eaton’s Ranch in Wolf, Wyoming, and followed up with a big party in August with all their friends. I was honored to bring the flower magic to both events, and we picked a colorful palette that transitioned from late Spring to late summer using loads of local beauty.

Her May bouquet was filled with ruffled peonies in white and pinks, ranunculus, and scabiosa. It was romantic, soft, and full of all the magic spring flowers bring to the party.

A little love for this slice of heaven, the misty mountains and incredible lilacs captured on their day before all the flower magic.

Their daughter carried a miniature bouquet and wore a little flower crown in pinks and white.

Stay tuned for their incredible parties in August and all the flowers to come!

Elegant & Bright - A Wedding in White & Blue

Hanna & Kade

These two sweethearts met in the Midwest and made a home together in the heart of Sheridan, WY. They brought that St Louis flair to the Wild West and hosted a beautiful wedding at the Brinton Museum in July. Here's a fun fact: We live on the same street!

Wyoming Wedding Photographer Cassie Madden captured all the thoughtful details Laura from Forever West Weddings & Events curated for this couple.

Besides their elegant flowers in white and pale blue, my favorite moment might have been their custom escort wall, complete with watercolor renditions of their favorite places.

Follow along for a complete vendor list and all the flower magic below.

Here’s the incredible team who brought the magic for this late July wedding in Sheridan, WY.

The bride and her best friends stayed at a charming downtown Sheridan AirBnb with amazing lighting and fun details for photographs while getting ready.

Their ceremony took place on the elegant lawns at the Brinton Museum under a simple arch from Powder River Party Rentals. I added soft, ivory draping and white and pale blue flowers with lots of greenery. We framed the aisle with white pillars topped with simple green ferns.

For their reception under the tent, we used a mix of centerpieces including delicate bud vases with garden roses in white and larger arrangements in white ceramic vases. She provided LED candles in blue and white with silver candle sticks and votives to complete the look.

Congratulations!

A Boho Wedding in Rust & Jewel Tones

Intimate ~ Beautiful ~ Fun

These sweethearts planned an epic party at the Big Horn Equestrian Center near Sheridan, WY, for their June wedding with all their friends. We combined fresh and dried elements for their wedding flowers, full of boho-inspired warm jewel tones in rust, mustard, mauve, and emerald green.

She wore an incredible dress by Luce Sposa - The Elvis Dress with the most airy details. The bridal party wore a collection of mixed dresses from Baltic Born, and the men sported fresh, light-colored suits.

Our snow-topped Big Horn Mountains put on a show for their wedding day, and I love every image and detailed captured by Wyoming wedding photographer Kaylie Sirek.

The bridal parties stayed in luxurious rentals at The Powder Horn. They provided plenty of space and great locations for getting ready photos and are just a short drive from their wedding and reception venue at the Big Horn Equestrian Center in Big Horn, WY.

I created a garden-style bouquet in muted tones of rust, mauve, mustard, and emerald with garden roses, ruffled carnations, deep green foliage, and dried pampas grass.

A bride wearing a Luce Spoza dress for her June wedding in Sheridan wyoming carries a bouquet in rust and mauve tones created by Wyoming florist whirly girl flowers.

Their ceremony took place on the polo fields under a hexagon arch with x-back chairs from Powder River Party Rentals. I created an asymmetrical floral piece in their muted jewel-tones with dried palm fronds and pampas grass to frame the space.

We had a combination design for their reception with long and low centerpieces in wooden boxes on long tables paired with rust or emerald-colored table runners and some DIY dried bud vases on their round tables. They included some antler sheds and loose greenery for a faux garland effect.

They partied the night away under the lights over the patio and ate Sheridan’s best pie from Hetty’s Pizza.

Congratulations

June Local Bouquet - Styled Shoot

A Local Bouquet in June

When Abby Higgs Photography approached me for a simple styled shoot, I was excited to make a bouquet full of local beauty for their evening at the HF Bar Ranch in Saddlestring, WY. Our late start to Summer here in Sheridan left us with an abundance of peonies showing off, along with coral bells, ox-eye daisies, chamomile, and a few other little treasures I was able to pick from neighbors’ yards and local farms.

Growing flowers on a large scale in our climate is so difficult and I always jump at the chance to play with flowers grown so close to home.

A Secret Wedding in October

Bobbi & Max

Bobbi was a long-time Whirly Girl fan and attended several pop-ups and classes in the early years here in Sheridan. When she and Max decided to have a secret elopement in 2020 at their Wyoming ranch, Talking Waters, I was elated to make a simple bouquet and boutonniere for their moment together. She gave me full creative control, and I used some wild bittersweet vines, dried craspedia, and fresh roses for her bouquet.

Cassie Madden captured all the joy of the blustery day with their single witness and dear friend.

As I tell all my couples, your day is yours. Embrace it. Make it what you want it. Bobbi and Max embraced this, wearing outfits they pulled from their closets in the morning and got married in a place they loved with a friend to witness. No rules, just LOVE.

Congratulations!
