Prairie Inspired Jewel Toned Wedding

Nate & Sabre

In an elegant affair at the Brinton Museum near Sheridan, Wyoming, a paleontologist and museum curator say "I do," infusing their special day with the allure of prehistory. Amidst dinosaurs and prehistoric flora, guests find themselves in an inviting atmosphere where prairie-inspired jewel tones and earthy colors create a fun and enchanting ambiance. As the couple exchanged vows under a copper arch, towering trees, and amongst lush ferns, their love story unfolded in a celebration as timeless as the fossils.

Sabre found her dream dress at The Bridal Collection,  Denver, and her ladies wore Birdy Grey dresses in a color of their choice including sage green, terracotta, dusty blue, taupe, and rosewood.

Nate’s wedding party included his sister as Best Woman among his dearest friends. They wore dress pants in tan to brown tones with white shirts, suspenders in varied earth tones, and handmade bolo ties created by the groom.

We had a collection of prairie-inspired bud vases for their reception with simple flowers and grasses, potted plants with various ferns, succulents, and ancient Cycads. We used simple terracotta cylinder pots and gold dinosaur planters to honor their love for fossils. Sweet Tia’s made the most incredible macarons for their dessert table instead of cake!

Congratulations!

A Sunflower Wedding in White and Yellow

Cheery ~ Western-y ~ Bright

When a horse trainer calls for a vet to doctor some sick calves, it’s a love story for the books.

Rebecca and Brandt chose to say I do below the Bighorn Mountains at the Big Horn Equestrian Center near his childhood home, and their day was full of dramatic weather and the biggest smiles.

Forever West Weddings & Events coordinated an incredible group of vendors for this couple from California to make their destination wedding dreams come true.

Wyoming wedding photographer Cassie Madden captured everything from getting ready to smiles in the rain.

The groom and his men wore a classic western Canadian tuxedo and their cowboy hats with boots. The bride found her perfect dress at Miosa Bridal, a shop in Folsom, CA, and her ladies wore pale blue knee-length dresses.

The bride’s love of sunflowers directed our vision for the day and her flowers. We included locally grown Ox Eye Sunflowers (Heliopsis helianthoides) and white cosmos for a delicate, light feeling with plenty of movement.

They originally planned an outdoor ceremony on the expansive polo fields under an arch from Powder River Party Rentals with flowers and some calf roping pieces. Ultimately, the rain called for a change of plans, but we love these shots captured beforehand. The hanging arrangements did double duty for the day and were used as centerpieces under the tent for their reception.

The Cake Chic - Jaci Schmidt created custom cookies for each guest and a three-layer cake with a custom topper. The team from Shabby Shack crafted a beautiful meal and place settings under the tent for their reception.

Congratulations!

Wildflower-Inspired Weddings in Wyoming

As someone who fell in love with the man I would later marry and the great state of Wyoming during a June wildflower flush in the Big Horn Mountains, it’s no surprise to me that “wildflower-inspired” is one of the top descriptions clients give me when talking about their wedding flowers. Whether they’re planning a super elegant and classy day with a limited color palette or a more casual event with a riot of color, I’m ready to make those flower dreams come true.

If you’re looking for wildflower inspiration for your Wyoming destination wedding, here you go! I can’t wait to hear which one is your favorite and how they might inspire your own day.

A Wyoming Elopement in May

Happy - Fun - Day

Connor and Joe planned an intimate late Spring elopement with their nearest and dearest at the historic Eaton’s Ranch in Wolf, Wyoming, and followed up with a big party in August with all their friends. I was honored to bring the flower magic to both events, and we picked a colorful palette that transitioned from late Spring to late summer using loads of local beauty.

Her May bouquet was filled with ruffled peonies in white and pinks, ranunculus, and scabiosa. It was romantic, soft, and full of all the magic spring flowers bring to the party.

A little love for this slice of heaven, the misty mountains and incredible lilacs captured on their day before all the flower magic.

Their daughter carried a miniature bouquet and wore a little flower crown in pinks and white.

Stay tuned for their incredible parties in August and all the flowers to come!

Elegant & Bright - A Wedding in White & Blue

Hanna & Kade

These two sweethearts met in the Midwest and made a home together in the heart of Sheridan, WY. They brought that St Louis flair to the Wild West and hosted a beautiful wedding at the Brinton Museum in July. Here's a fun fact: We live on the same street!

Wyoming Wedding Photographer Cassie Madden captured all the thoughtful details Laura from Forever West Weddings & Events curated for this couple.

Besides their elegant flowers in white and pale blue, my favorite moment might have been their custom escort wall, complete with watercolor renditions of their favorite places.

Follow along for a complete vendor list and all the flower magic below.

Here’s the incredible team who brought the magic for this late July wedding in Sheridan, WY.

The bride and her best friends stayed at a charming downtown Sheridan AirBnb with amazing lighting and fun details for photographs while getting ready.

Their ceremony took place on the elegant lawns at the Brinton Museum under a simple arch from Powder River Party Rentals. I added soft, ivory draping and white and pale blue flowers with lots of greenery. We framed the aisle with white pillars topped with simple green ferns.

For their reception under the tent, we used a mix of centerpieces including delicate bud vases with garden roses in white and larger arrangements in white ceramic vases. She provided LED candles in blue and white with silver candle sticks and votives to complete the look.

Congratulations!
