A Bighorn Mountain Destination Wedding

Elegant ~ Minimal ~ Personal

These sweethearts planned an intimate elopement in Wyoming at a family cabin in the Bighorn Mountains. They traveled from the midwest with their nearest and dearest to gather under towering pines and proclaim their love.

Storyteller Mo Speer Photography traveled along to capture all the beauty and intimacy of the day.

We created a soft and romantic garden-styled bouquet with garden roses and a nod to our favorite mountain wildflowers with pale blue delphinium, soft yellows, lavender scabiosa, and the sweetest daisies from my yard.

Her stunning Davenport Bridal dress came from Park & Fifth, which she paired with a sheer bridal scarf for their June wedding day.

The groom wore a modern pale grey three-piece suit with an epic beard. They choose not to have a bridal party and gathered with those they love for a weekend getaway full of wildflower meadows, mountain exploring and more moose than you could count.

Overall, simply magical.

Sage & Burgundy Mountain Wedding

Magical ~ Foresty ~ Natural

Sara & Zach met in college, and eventually, the friendship built in those early years turned into something more. They were married at the top of the Bighorn Mountains, and their wedding was inspired by the forest and natural beauty of Wyoming, with colors in burgundy and sage green and pheasant feathers to accent their flowers.

Sheridan, WY wedding photographer Cassie Madden Photography captured all the gorgeous details and utter joy of their wedding.

Wyoming High Country Lodge provided the perfect space for their guests with rustic charm, views for days, and some moose that added extra excitement to their ceremony.

Keep scrolling for more of their magical day.

The bride wore a gorgeous dress with lace overlay from Belle en Blanc in Billings while her ladies each picked their favorite Birdygrey dress in burgundy. The groom and wedding party men sported classic black suits with burgundy ties and pocket squares.

Sara’s bouquet was filled with garden roses in ivory, burgundy, and blush, along with various eucalyptus, blooming calycina, and some wild burgundy amaranth from my garden. The couple provided me with feathers from their pheasant hunting adventures.

They opted for simple DIY centerpieces with floating candles in white placed on wood slices and surrounded by loose eucalyptus—the perfect, easy decor for this rustic location.

Congratulations!

July Mountain Wildflower Wedding

Lace dress, pink shirt, wildflower bouquet

Sarah and Justin were married on the shores of Paint Rock Lake in the Big Horn Mountains one stormy afternoon in July. We delivered colorful bouquets inspired by Wyoming Wildflower meadows and a collection of varied bud vases for their reception. Her ladies wore dresses in shades of pink and sparkles that let the flowers in blue, orange, yellow, and purple pop.

It was a treat to use locally grown zinnias, snapdragons, and coreopsis in addition to flowers from Colorado farms to bring in the color and texture inspired by her wildflower theme.
